A St. Patty's Day stroll through the strangest city in America

Me and Natalie's main reason for going to PDX on St. Patrick's Day was to cheer on her sister Beanie who ran in the Shamrock Run downtown. Here she is with Johnny and Peter after finishing her 8K.

Dirty Old Town, pt. 2, Longview, Wa.

As most know I spend a lot of time in Longview these days, which has led to me and Nat attempting a year long photo project documenting the complex city in an ongoing series we've titled "Dirty Old Town," named from the song by the Pogues — you can hear the song HERE, it really does fit the place pretty darn well.

Yesterday I took a very long walk around the town in the rain with my iPhone as camera, and these were the results. If you missed it, you can see my first installment from November HERE

S&M Challenge race, Castle Rock, Wa.

I tagged along with my lady on her assignment today at the S&M Challenge cross country race, a long slog across, over, under and through a variety of obstacles in Castle Rock. A good way to spend a Saturday morning.
